404 redirect in asp.net

To create a 404 redirect in asp.net is very simple , It is good to show the user a custom error message instead of showing a system error

in the web.config customerrors tag add the attribute defaultredirect which can be redirected to your custom error page like in this case 404.aspx

when the page encounters a error the page will be redirected to the 404.aspx page.
